Radio sensation Jocelyn Alice and acclaimed Halifax duo Neon Dreams will join the music line-up at the Richmond World Festival this year.
Alice’s hit-song “Jackpot” catapulted her to fame when the track topped radio and sales charts in 2015.
She has since received over 100 million streams for her singles, “Still Wondering,” “I Know” and “Bound to You.”
Neon Dreams’ Kadillac and Adrian Morris are an award-winning duo who won Best New Group or Solo Artist at the 2017 Canadian Radio Music Awards; they have also performed at the Juno Awards.
Chart-topping performers, The Strumbellas and Bedoin Soundclash, will headline YVR’s Mosaic Main Stage this year.
Going beyond Canadian borders, the festival committee has invited talents around the world including Veronic Fusaro from Switzerland, Qinta Kalavera from Mexico and RT Nuba from Egypt.
In addition to the music line-up, more than 100 performances, 60 food trucks, an artisan market and other activities will be waiting for attendees.
The free festival will take place at Minoru Park over the Labour Day long weekend – Friday Aug. 31 from 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 31 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
