Richmond street banner contest open for voting

The final 20 designs for Richmond’s street banner contest have been released and public voting is officially open. People can view and vote for their favourite designs on the Lets Talk Richmond website or on the city’s website until Monday, Oct.

The final 20 designs for Richmond’s street banner contest have been released and public voting is officially open.

People can view and vote for their favourite designs on the Lets Talk Richmond website or on the city’s website until Monday, Oct. 12 at 11:59 p.m.

Winners of the contest will see 1,000 of their featured designs installed around Richmond from March 2021 to February 2022.

Over 650 designs were submitted in this year’s contest – one from each theme.

The themes for this year’s submissions are:

  • Community
  • Connection
  • Wellness
  • Active Living
  • Urban Landscape
  • Nature
  • Island City
  • The Arts
  • Sustainability

Richmond’s Street Banner Contest is a part of the broader Partners for Beautification Program, which invites community members to become actively involved in the beautification of their city.
