Students from Richmond Music School have a busy Christmas schedule of performances coming up.

Hot on the heels of their annual ensemble concert at the Richmond Alliance Church – which adjoins the school on No. 3 Road, south of Steveston Highway – the students have a double-header of performances lined up.

Their first Christmas Concert goes Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Alliance Church at 11371 No 3 Rd. from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is open to the public and is free to attend.

And next weekend, on Saturday, Dec. 8, the students will be front and centre at the City of Richmond’s Winter Wonderland at city hall from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Each Winter Wonderland tree is sponsored and has been decorated by local businesses, organizations or individuals.  Visitors are encouraged to make a donation and bring a non-perishable food item to support our local food bank. Funds from the donations will be used to support the Rotary Club’s international and Richmond community programs.

The students wrap up their Christmas concert schedule with another free performance at their recital hall on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
