Flowers from Abbotsford’s Bloom Tulip Festival will adorn McArthurGlen outlet mall in Richmond on Saturday to welcome the arrival of spring.
Staff at the outlet mall will hand out more than 2,000 free bouquets of tulips to guests beginning at noon, and there will be a decorated floral swing in the Luxury Piazza for Instagram-worthy pictures.
“We hope that we’re able to put a smile on (shoppers’) faces,” said McArthurGlen marketing manager Ally Day.
“We had a long winter, and we just thought what better way to kick off the new spring season and spring collections than with tulips?”
The mall partnered with Bloom, which supplied flowers for the first-time event. Bloom is the annual festival run by an Abbotsford family that draws hundreds of visitors who take pictures of the idyllic tulip fields on their farm.
