Tourism Richmond and the Richmond Hotel Association will collaborate to bring Canada’s West Marketplace (CWM) to Richmond in 2019.

Established In 1989, the three-day, four-night business conference showcases western Canada tourism products to international and domestic tour operators and buyers.

“It was a perfect fit,” said Nancy Small, CEO of Tourism Richmond. “Having Richmond host this high-energy business conference allows us to showcase the best Richmond has to offer.”

Marsha Walden, CEO of Destination British Columbia, said Richmond is an ideal host for CWM.

“Richmond is a city where culture and character thrive, from world-class cuisine to captivating outdoor adventure,” she said.

The trade show is a partnership between Destination B.C. and Travel Alberta. Each year, it alternates locations between Alberta and B.C.

“CWM is the most effective way for Alberta and British Columbia tourism suppliers to present their products, experiences and services to tourism buyers from around the world,” said Royce Chwin, CEO at Travel Alberta.

“Alberta’s partnership with Destination B.C. presents our industry partners with a unique opportunity to grow their businesses on an international scale.”

The 32nd annual Canada’s West Marketplace (CWM) tradeshow will take place in Richmond from Nov.17 to 20, 2019.
