Teresa Wat hosts virtual town hall to gain support

Teresa Wat, the Liberal candidate for Richmond North Centre, hosted a virtual town hall meeting via Zoom Monday night to kick off her provincial election campaign.

Wat said that B.C.NDP leader John Horgan’s snap election call amid the challenging pandemic shows “he doesn’t care about life and death” of B.C residents.

“Right now, we don’t have a health minister to work with Dr. Bonnie Henry to discuss how to protect our health. We don’t have an education minister to ensure that our children are being kept safe while heading back to the classrooms...How could we trust this government?” Wat said to her supporters and campaign volunteers during the multi-lingual event.

Former Richmond Chamber of Commerce CEO Matt Pitcairn, who will run for the BC Liberals in Richmond-Steveston, also attended the meeting to rally support.
