City of Richmond's 'Art Café' opens to the public

For people with a love for the arts, and a cup of coffee, finding space for both at the same time can be a challenge, not to mention the high cost of buying art supplies.

For people with a love for the arts, and a cup of coffee, finding space for both at the same time can be a challenge, not to mention the high cost of buying art supplies.

From this week to June 28, Richmond residents are invited to join the city's Art Café every Friday, to create art, meet with new people and enjoy local-pressed coffee.

"Art Café is a free, multimedia arts drop-in for individuals of all skill levels," said a city's post.

"Limited art supplies available for use including sewing machines, paints, pencils and more."

The adult-only event is held at the City Centre Community Centre at 5900 Minoru Blvd every Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
