Three added to board of guide dogs organization

BC & Alberta Guide Dogs’ recently elected three new members to its board of directors at its annual general meeting and all of them have strong ties to South Delta.

BC & Alberta Guide Dogs’ recently elected three new members to its board of directors at its annual general meeting and all of them have strong ties to South Delta.

Ladner’s Kelly Guichon is a leadership and management consulting professional, and president of KWG Enterprises, a consultancy that assists with the development and establishing of small businesses in Delta.  

Linda Reid is MLA for Richmond South Centre and is one of the longest serving MLAs in B.C. having served consecutive terms for more than 20 years.

Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay is a certified civil family law mediator and a collaborative lawyer and was appointed to the Queen’s Counsel in 1999 and Canada’s Privy Counsel in 2013. She was MP, representing the electoral district of Delta-Richmond East from 2011 to 2015. She is also a member of the Delta Police Board.

“We are excited to have these three accomplished and successful individuals joining our board. They each bring a wealth of professional experience and expertise and we are proud to welcome each of them to the team,” said William Thornton, BC & Alberta Guide Dogs, CEO/co-founder. 

“I am confident that they will help us advance our mission to meet the growing demand for professionally trained Guide Dogs and Autism Support Dogs for citizens of British Columbia and Alberta.”

BC & Alberta Guide Dogs is a registered charity based in South Delta. The organization breeds, raises and professionally trains guide dogs for blind/visually-impaired individuals, and Autism Support Dogs for children aged three to 10 and their families living with profound autism.
