Boyd defensive tackle Kameron Porbeni was named to the Western AA Conference All-Star Team.

The Hugh Boyd Trojans are headed back to Vernon for the second time this season for a B.C. High School Football provincial AA wild card date with Prince George’s College Heights.
The Trojans will take on the Northern Conference runners-ups at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Greater Vernon Athletic Park. The winner will face the No. 3 ranked Abbotsford Panthers the following week in the quarter-finals at B.C. Place Stadium.
They were up in the Interior city back in September for a non-conference game against the Vernon Panthers.
Boyd closed out its regular season schedule with a rather bizarre 22-7 loss to the Holy Cross Crusaders. The game was scheduled to kickoff at 7:30 p.m., only to learn the field had been double booked for a senior soccer game at 8 p.m.
The teams rushed through their warm-up and just an hour of running time was played.
The scheduling mix-up put a damper on what was longtime Boyd coaches Bill and Bruce Haddow’s final league game — never mind for the graduating Grade 12 players and for a week’s worth of preparation.
The Trojans finished Western AA Conference play at 2-3 but had already locked up third place thanks to previous week’s win over Argyle. Windsor took top spot, followed by John Barsby.
The team did receive some good news on Sunday when the Western Conference All-Star Team was announced. The Boyd contingent includes: Reace Mok (running back), Austin Berry (running back), Dayton Williamson(offensive line), Kameron Porbeni (defensive line), Ryan Jensen (linebacker) and Isaiah Danieals (defensive back).
