Strikers host Sevens Jamboree on Friday

The McRoberts Strikers will step aside from their 15s schedule to host a Girls Rugby Sevens jamboree on Friday at South Arm Park.
The event, scheduled to run from 1-4 p.m. will feature the Strikers along with Handsworth, Burnsview, Vancouver District and city rival McMath.

McRoberts and the Wildcats battled to a highly entertaining 43-43 tie last week. The Strikers jumped out to a big early lead before the hosts came storming back in the late going. The teams are expected to meet again to settle the annual derby for the Art Dodd Trophy.
