Puck drops on Seafair Rep Icebreaker Friday

Seafair Minor Hockey's 15th annual Rep Icebreaker Tournament features teams from Oregon, Washington, Yukon Territory and throughout B.C.

One of the biggest weekend’s of Seafair Minor Hockey Association has arrived with the association hosting its 15th annual Icebreaker Rep Tournament at the Richmond Ice Centre.

The four-day event, which gets underway Friday afternoon and concludes on the holiday Monday features an action-packed schedule that is filled to capacity. Entries include teams from Oregon, Washington State, Yellowknife and throughout B.C. The tourney is a terrific early test as clubs wind down tiering play and head into the regular season.

Here is the rundown of participants per division:

Midget Tier 1: Seafair, Langley, Juan de Fuca, Semiahmoo, Saanich, Vancouver Thunderbirds. Championship Game: Monday, 2 p.m. (Coliseum).

Midget Tier 2: Seafair, Everett, Saanich, Port Alberni, North Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, Juan de Fuca. Championship Game: Monday, 111:30 p.m. (Coliseum).

Bantam Tier 1: Seafair, Cloverdale, Kamloops, Victoria Racquet Club, Everett, Kelowna, Langley, Saanich. Championship Game: Monday, 12:45 p.m. (Forum).

Bantam Tier 2: Seafair, North Vancouver, Juan de Fuca, Portland, Surrey, Vancouver Minor, Seattle, Yellowknife. Championship Game: Monday, 10:15 a.m. (Forum).

Pee Wee Tier 1: Seafair, North Delta, Richmond, Juan de Fuca, North Vancouver, Vancouver Thunderbirds. Championship Game: Monday, 2:15 p.m. (Pond).

Pee Wee Tier 2: Seafair, Kerry Park, Langley, Saanich, Richmond, Portland, Peninsula, Semiahmoo. Championship Game: Monday, 9:15 a.m. (Coliseum).

Atom: Seafair A1, Seafair A2, Richmond, Cloverdale, Juan de Fuca A1, Juan de Fuca A2, Kelowna, Saanich. Championship Game: Monday, 3:15 p.m. (Garage).
