The city’s oldest karate school — the Richmond Kyokushin Karate Club — will be hosting a number of leading international karate instructors next month.
Two seminars for local students will feature Shihan Francisco Filho, 6th Dan, Brazil, World Kyokushin Karate Champion and four-time World K-1 Kickboxing Grand Prix Champion, along with Shihan Kenny Uytenbogarrdt, 8th Dan, South Africa. They will be taking place on Oct. 10-11.
Accompanying these two world renown Kyokushin Karate instructors will be Mac Robertson, 6th Dan, Great Britain, and Mikhail Medovshchikova, 4th Dan, Russia.
This group of international instructors will provide the opportunity for many local students to gain valuable insight into the intricacies of Kyokushin Karate.
