Dear Editor,

Well, I did it.

On a trip from Steveston up No. 2 Road and east on Blundell Road to No. 6 Road, I hit all 15 traffic lights red.

Now, I expect to see most of them red, that’s normal. But to get them all has Guinness Book of Records merit.

When will we get a traffic management system that allows better traffic flow and stops the waste of gas and time?

When will we get rid of the tunnel?  I try to only use it between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. as the rest of the time it is chaos.

Today, I was coming north at 11:30 a.m., and traffic was reasonably light.

However, as we approached the tunnel, the tail lights came on and we entered the tunnel at 30 km/h. We did make it up to 60 as we exited, but that’s still 20 below the limit.

Whether it’s paranoia or claustrophobia, people go through tunnels slower than over bridges.

We really need a 12-lane tunnel or 10- lane bridge worse than ever.
