Dear Editor,

A common daytime sight on the road these days is cars without their tail lights on.

It’s very dangerous when visibility is bad.

The drivers don’t realize that the lights aren’t on, so I’m wondering if you can put this message on the front page so everyone can see it — it may save lives:

“This has to do with daytime driving. Even if your vehicle’s headlights come on automatically when the ignition is turned on, there’s a good chance that your tail lights don’t.

If this is so, when it’s foggy, misty, rainy, snowy or gloomy, you will need to turn on your lights manually.

Thus, you will be visible from the back as well as the front.”
