Featuring several days of dynamic programming, the annual Vancouver International Women in Film Festival (VIWIFF) will shine a light on the work of women working in the screen biz.

Panel talks, Q&A sessions, parties, and, of course, multiple screenings, are the cornerstone of this annual celebration, and discussion, about women working in the film industry.

VIWIFF 2018 will include the presentation of films from around the world that in each include women involved in at least three key roles, such as producer, director, editor, writer, composer, cinematographer, or lead performer.

The programming includes several free events (registration required), as well as unique opportunities to speak with women working in the industry, and there’s even a party one night that’s an evening “Summer Camp” complete with s’mores and campfire songs.

The mission of Women in Film & Television, the local non-profit event host that is part of a global network, is to “celebrate and advance the artistic development and careers of women working in screen-based media.”

VIWIFF runs March 6-11, 2018; a full schedule of events and ticketing/registration is available online
