The incident in Tsawwassen Monday involved a series of traffic collisions and citizens' arrest.

A Surrey man is facing 12 charges for his alleged role in an attempted break-in that ended with several vehicle collisions and an attempted car-jacking Monday afternoon in Tsawwassen.

Michael John Krawetz, 47, will answer to the charges of break and enter, theft over $5,000, possession of stolen property, assault, dangerous driving, failing to stop, robbery and attempted theft of a motor vehicle in Surrey provincial court on May 10.

Until that court appearance Krawetz will remain in police custody.

A female suspect is also wanted in connection to these incidents, which is still under investigation by Delta police.

“We’re very thankful that no one was seriously injured during these events,” said DPD public affairs coordinator Cris Leykauf in a news release. “Property crime such as break and enters, or theft from vehicles, is one of the top concerns for police in Tsawwassen. Our officers are very pleased to have some significant charges in relation to this issue.”
