Ladies to sweep Steveston Village with shopping deals Nov.23

The Steveston Girls’ Night Out is back for a sixth straight year next Thursday.

Special discounts, added value deals and swag bags are a feature during the night from participating village merchants.

The shopping festivities begin Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. and last until 9 p.m. During this time, 26 stores in the village offer the special discounts.

Each year hundreds of women attend the free event, while just over 100 tickets are sold for the after-party at Blue Canoe restaurant at 9 p.m.

During the day and the evening, Britannia Steveston Local Craft Beer and Food will be offering special GNO cocktails and appetizers while Little Mexico Cantina also has special happy hour specials (margaritas and tacos), including $10 gift certificates for the first 40 ladies spending $20 or more.

After-party tickets are on sale at O’Hares GastroPub by contacting GNO founder Erinn Bryan ([email protected]). Tickets cost $25, with $5 from each ticket going to the Richmond Christmas Fund.

Special deal highlights:

A Monkey Tree is offering a free gift valued at $35 for anyone purchasing $50 or more of products.

Candy Dish is handing out free fudge cupcakes to anyone who buys $20 on stocking stuffers.

Pieces is offering 10 per cent off all purchases and if you spend $35 you will receive a $30 gift in value.

Violet Hill Boutique is offering a “save the tax” sale, meaning 12 per cent off products.

Sinfully the Best is offering 15 per cent off chocolate and fine food.
