Get your garlic on this Sunday at Terra Nova

7th Annual Garlic Festival has plenty on its itinerary

Richmond's seventh annual Garlic Festival will feature garlic dishes from up to 20 restaurants, live music, cooking demonstrations and a farmers and garlic market all set behind the backdrop of live music Sunday afternoon at the Sharing Farm in Terra Nova Rural Park.

Lots of locally grown garlic will be available for purchase and to eat in a variety of specialty dishes.

Festival goers can buy tapas tickets for $4 each or six for $20. A VIP pass costs $50.

Kids who can't stand garlic will have their own fun, as well. A kids yoga demo, planting seeds, craft making, tie-dye shirt making and — we kid not — "free play with large cardboard boxes" is available for the young ones, according to event organizers.

Kids can also participate in Science World shows.

Better yet, the beer garden opens at 10 a.m. right when the festival opens

The Sharing Farm is located at 2771 Westminster Highway. Do note that no dogs or any other pets are allowed at the festival.
