Less than two weeks ago, we reported a Craigslist “daddy” posted that he was seeking a roommate who will pay in dates, housekeeping and massages. While that post has been removed, another is also on Craigslist, offering free rent to the potential girlfriend.

Posted on Feb. 11, the person mentioned directly he wanted a girlfriend, instead of being a sugar daddy like the other post.

He described himself as “30 years old, slim, fit, clean, neat/tidy, South Asian professional that is living alone in a Yaletown condo.”

He said he spent most of his time working and feels lonely, which is why he is looking for a girlfriend to come home with him in his one bedroom modern apartment.

According to Rent Jungle, as of January 2018, the average monthly rent for a one bedroom apartment in Vancouver is $2113, while $1565 in Richmond. The current minimum wage in B.C. is $11.35 per hour, so those working 40 hours a week will end up with a monthly income of $1816 before tax.
