Job action could still be further down the track, but for now union workers on the Canada Line are keeping things rolling with mediated talks on a new contract scheduled for Feb. 2 and 3.
The 150 workers on the SkyTrain line have been without a contract since December 2013. And according to the B.C. Government and Service and Employees’ Union, which represents them, minimal progress had been achieved over the last 12 months.
That prompted a strike vote earlier this month, with 99 per cent voting to take job action, if needed.
