The house fire at 9040 Granville Ave. started in the kitchen and was contained to that room by some of the 19 Richmond Fire-Rescue crew who arrived on scene. The three adult renters of the residence were unharmed, but their cat received life-saving resuscitation from the emergency crew. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
