The RCMP has named its new patrol vessel, Fraser Guardian. With the help of Richmond students the name for the 7.3-metre Zodiac was revealed Thursday night at London Landing in Steveston. The RCMP also presented winners of a contest to name the boat. The Visual Arts winners were: 1st place, Olivia Yeung; 2nd place, the team of Jasmine Dy and Miranda Herle; and 3rd place, Vinita Rathod. The Essay winners were: 1st place, the writing team of Naomi and Nicole Shi; 2nd place, Wilbur Lam; and 3rd place, Vedanshi Vala.
