London Farm Walk

Join a free guided walk that begins at the historic London Farm House, which includes a fully restored heritage house, barn and old farm equipment that illustrate Richmond’s rural history. The one-hour walk will then continue through Britannia Shipyards in Steveston. The meeting spot will be in the parking lot across from the London Heritage Farm House. The Richmond Academy of Dance presents: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Join the Richmond Academy of Dance at their annual end-of-year recital at Gateway Theatre. This year’s production – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; a childhood classic tale with a twist of dance. Don’t miss this exciting performance including all the academy’s dancers aged three to adult performing in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, hip hop and lyrical. Seniors Week - Over 90s Tea and Celebration

Celebrate Richmond seniors 90 years of age and over with an afternoon of socializing and recognition of these special Richmond citizens at the Minoru Place Activity Centre (Senior’s Centre). Caregivers welcome. This is a free event. Registration is required at www.richmond.ca/register.

“The Watershed Guardians of the Fraser River” Film Screening 

The Fraser River is one of the most beautiful rivers of Canada; but how healthy is it really? In this free documentary screening, embark on a journey and meet with people who are studying and defending the Fraser River and its watershed. The screening will take place at the Britannia Shipyards, followed by a Q&A session with director Jocelyn Demers.

City Hall Galleria: Losing Home, Finding Peace

Artist Dorthe Einsenhardt’s exhibition piece, Losing Home, Finding Peace is on display at the Richmond City Hall Galleria. This artwork shows with the plight of people who are forced to leave their homes to escape either natural disasters or other traumatic events, thereby leaving everything they know behind in the hope of finding a better future elsewhere. Eisenhardt has been painting all her life and has shown her work consistently in solo, juried and group exhibitions since 1988.

Kwantlen St. Farmers Market

This weekly farmers market is a perfect way to restock your fridge and freezer. Come and get to know the farmers and try out their new delicious recipes. There will be free parking, live music, local food and plenty of fun for families. Every Tuesday afternoon at the Richmond Cultural Centre Plaza.
