As a nod to people who adopt rescued animals from any community shelter, the Richmond-based Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS) is offering discounted veterinary care.

RAPS - which operates the City of Richmond animal shelter, the RAPS Cat Sanctuary and the new RAPS Animal Hospital – said it wanted to reward those who adopt animals from similar facilities in the region.

The discounted care is on offer at the RAPS Animal Hospital in the Richmond Auto Mall.

“If you adopted your pet from the RAPS-run City of Richmond Animal Shelter – or from any other shelter – that makes you a VIP at RAPS,” said Eyal Lichtmann, CEO of RAPS.

“VIP benefits include 25 per cent off veterinary care in 2018, plus regular very special offers.

“We want to encourage people to adopt companion animals, rather than buying them.

“For those who have made that choice, we believe they should be rewarded.”

The current offer is 40 per cent off dental treatments. (Offers cannot be combined. Full details are on the RAPS website at RAPSbc.Com. Call 604-242-1666 for an appointment or book online.
