Home Depot hiring 108 in Richmond

The company remains optimistic it will find potential candidates despite a labour shortage is reported in the city
Home Depot Canada is preparing for the spring rush with a cross-country hiring push.
Home Depot Canada will be hiring 940 full-time, part-time and seasonal positions in B.C.

Home Depot Canada is hiring 108 employees in Richmond to support the company’s busiest selling season – spring.

Available positions include full-time, part-time and seasonal associates.

“Right now, we have positions available in all our specialty, seasonal, and operations-based departments,” said Paul Berto, corporate communications director of Home Depot Canada.

“We look primarily for candidates that have a passion for great customer service.”

Berto said all new hires will work for its Richmond location at 2700 Sweden Way, as the company does not have plans to build a new store in this area.

“Eligible full and part-time employees will have access to benefits," said the company.

Berto added that, despite a labour shortage is being experienced by many employers in the city, the company is positive to find good candidates.

“There is always strong interest at our hiring events. As we have just started, we remain optimistic we will find potential candidates,” Berto said.

In total, the company aims to hire more than 7,000 across the country and 1,300 in B.C.

Richmond job fair will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at 2700 Sweden Way.
